Pastor Mark Nunn
Pastor Mark Nunn serves as Associate Pastor - Worship and Arts and arrived at First Baptist Church in June 2010 after serving as the worship pastor at Fully Alive Community Church in Redwood Shores, Calif. (14 years) and Western Hills Baptist Church in San Mateo, Calif. (12 years). He received his Bachelor of Arts in Music from California Baptist College in 1982, and a Masters of Religious Education from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary in 1988.
Mark's hobbies include playing the keyboard, and community outreach. He and his wife, Kathy, have six children: Amber, Austin, Aaron, Aidan, Ashton and Adam. E-mail mark@firstbaptistgv.com
Austin Nunn
Austin is currently serving as our Associate Minister of Students. Austin graduated from Vanguard University with a degree in Theater. He has served the past two summers at Lifeway Fuge Camp at Jenness Park as a camp counselor. Austin has a love of teenagers and seeing them come to, and grow in Christ. Carmelita Wasson
Carmelita Wasson serves as our Children’s Ministry Director. Carmelita received a Bachelor of Science in Technical Communication from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology and worked for several years for a Fortune 500 science and technology company. Eventually after having her daughter she left the company to be a full-time stay-at-home mom.
Carmelita has worked with children of all ages from Infants to High School through volunteering in youth groups, helping in church nurseries, leading activities during Vacation Bible School, assisting in AWANA classes, and teaching children in children’s ministry. For five years, Carmelita served as a Children’s Leader for Bible Study Fellowship, teaching toddlers, preschoolers, and grade school-aged children, where God grew her love of teaching children from the Bible. Carmelita especially loves telling Bible Stories to kids of all ages and believes that Biblical literacy can begin at an early age.
Outside of church, Carmelita coaches an all-girl robotics team, serves as a Girl Scout co-leader, and enjoys all things papercrafting. She and her husband, Steven, have one daughter, Sybella.

Chrissy Van Note
Chrissy Van Note is our office’s Administrative Secretary. She and her husband, Jason have three children: Ardyn, Benjamin and Jaxon. Since coming to our church in 2014, she has served in the Children’s Ministry and as Project Leader of Operation Christmas Child. In her free time, she enjoys reading and spending time with her family.
