Dr. Cecil Peasley was born in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, to missionary parents. He came to Christ at the age of 15 years, following the trauma of a snake bite, and immediately surrendered to the call to ministry.
Cecil graduated from the Baptist Theological College of Southern Africa in Johannesburg in 1969 and is an ordained minister with the Baptist Union of Southern Africa. He has pastored three churches in Durban and Johannesburg.
In 1980 he responded to the call of World Evangelism and has taken the Gospel to countries in Africa (Botswana, Ghana, Kenya, South Africa, Swaziland, Zambia & Zimbabwe), Argentina, Australia, Barbados, Brazil, Cambodia, Canada, Chile, China, Costa Rica, Europe (Western and Eastern), Fiji, India, Latvia, Madagascar, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Norway, Paraguay, Peru, the Philippines, Russia, USA, UK.
He is Founder and President of Living Ministries International, an Evangelistic Ministry, conducting Crusades, Revivals, Evangelism Training and Spiritual Warfare Conferences. His ministry is to the lost as well as to building up the body of Christ.
Cecil served as Honorary Executive Director of the South African Association of Evangelism from 2000 for 13 years.
He holds a Master’s Degree as well as a Doctorate in Ministry. His thesis was based on “The Ministry of the Evangelist and the Local Church”.
Cecil and his wife, Jeanette, live in Summerstrand, Port Elizabeth. They have three adult children and 9 grand-children.
